Private means private.

Privacy isn't a clause for us — it's part of the product. We made choices early about what we would and wouldn't do with your books and your conversations, and we want them to be easy to read.

• — Books are never used to train foundation AI models.
• — You retain ownership of everything you upload.
• — You can delete your books, conversations, and account at any time.

Books you add to your Private Library are visible only to you. They are never published in the marketplace, never shown to other readers, and never indexed for discovery.

They are stored encrypted at rest and processed only to power your conversational reading experience for that book.

We do not use your uploaded books — or the books in Official AI Editions — to train foundation AI models. They power conversational reading for that book, and nothing else.

Conversations are tied to your account and used to make your reading experience better over time. You can delete any conversation, or all of them, from your account settings.

The optional memory layer that adapts how concepts are explained to you is stored against your account only — never shared.

Official AI Editions are separate from your Private Library. They are published by their authors or rights holders, who can see anonymous, aggregated insights about what readers ask. Individual reader identities are not shared with authors.

You can export or delete your data at any time. Deletion is permanent — we don't keep shadow copies after you remove something.

If we update this policy in any meaningful way, we'll let you know in the product before the change takes effect.
